This Week and North Sanpete MVP's!

This week we will be having regularly scheduled practices. We will also be attending the Gunnison tournament as a team on Saturday. Weigh in's and registration will be from 7-8 am and wrestling will begin at 9.


Our MVP's for the North Sanpete tournament are Dalton, Tezlin and Cody. Great job guys!

North Sevier Slideshow and Results

So.... Apparently, North Sevier is not going to update the tournament results online. So I don't know what place everyone got. I'll try and find out and update it later, but for now, here are the results I know:

It's so hard to make sure we get pictures of all the wrestlers, especially when a bunch of them are wrestling at the same time. This Week...

This week we will be having regular practices. We will also be traveling to the North Sanpete tournament as a team. You don't need to pre-register for this tournament, just show up. Weigh in's will be from 7-8:30 am, and wrestling will begin as soon as they have the brackets ready.

We are waiting for the results to post on Track Wrestling to update the North Sevier tournament results and photos. Hopefully they'll get that done soon!

Don't forget to sign up for the North Sevier tournament. You have to pay and pre-register online (track wrestling). We will have weigh in's at the gym on Friday, after practice.

This Week and South Sevier MVP

This week we will have our regular scheduled practices, on Tuesday and Friday. We will be attending the North Sevier tournament as a team this weekend, so please get signed up as soon as possible. You need to register online at Track Wrestling. We will probably be doing weigh in's after practice on Friday, so please register before then.

This Week

We will be having regularly scheduled practices this week. We will not be traveling to any tournaments as a team, but there are a couple going on if you are interested. The first is the Wasatch tournament in Heber. You can register for that one on Track Wrestling. Weigh in sites will be posted on Track Wrestling and it begins at 8:30 am on Saturday. The other one is Canyon View in Cedar City. You weigh in and register at Canyon View on Saturday from 7-8:30 am. Wrestling will begin at 9 am there.

This Week...

This week we will be having practices as scheduled. Tuesday from 5-6:30 and then on Friday (3:30-4:30 for the younger kids and 4:30-6:30 or 7 for the older kids).

There are three tournaments scheduled for this weekend. Moab, South Sevier and Parowan. We will let you know at practices if we will be attending any of them as a team. If you don't have a tournament schedule, please be sure and pick one up from Cody at practice. I've also posted one them all on the sidebar, under "upcoming events". I'll update if anymore are added to the list.

**Just a reminder** If you are planning on going to State, please consider booking your rooms now (if you are going to stay over that Friday night). Panguitch is a small town, and I'm sure the hotels will fill up quickly.

Super State

Our wrestlers did a great job at Super State! Eight boys went to the tournament and we had three of them place in the medal rounds! Good job Damon, Kaden and Keegan!

Instead of posting individual pictures below, I'm trying to figure out how to do a slideshow. I'll post it as soon as I have it done.

This week we will have practice as scheduled. I don't know of any tournaments this weekend, but we will definitely update you here, and also at practice if we go to one.

It's probably a good idea to start booking rooms for State. It will be April 6th in Panguitch. There aren't a lot of motel options there, so be sure and book a room early!

Super State Weigh Ins

Weigh-ins for Super State will be on Thursday, February 7th, from 5-6 pm at the gym. We will not be having practice on Friday due to the tournament. If you haven't registered, you have until tomorrow at midnight.

This Week...

This weekend is Super State in Heber City. Please get registered if you haven't done so already. The deadline for registration is Wednesday February 6th.

We will be having regular practice on Tuesday, from 5-6:30 pm. WE WILL NOT BE HAVING PRACTICE ON FRIDAY (due to the tournament).

Weigh in's for Super State will be at the gym on Thursday.

Beehive Brawl MVP's!

We had three MVP's for the Beehive Brawl! The first MVP is....

KYLAN!

Kylan is 9 years old and attends Fariview Elementary. His favorite food is steak and his favorite color is blue. He's been wrestling for 5 years. In addition to wrestling, he likes to go sledding and plays soccer and baseball. His greatest wrestling moment (so far) was when he took 2nd place at the Beehive Brawl! Congratulations Kylan!

 

Our next MVP is...

GLEN!

Glen is 6 years old and attends Mt. Pleasant Elementary. His favorite food is spaghetti and his favorite color is blue. He's been wrestling for 2 years. In addition to wrestling, he likes to go hunting, fishing and camping. His greatest wrestling moment (so far) was when he took 3rd place in State! Congratulations Glen!

 

 

The third MVP is...

 

HUNTER!

Hunter is 7 years old and attends Ephraim Elementary. His favorite food is Top Ramen, and his favorite color is purple. He's been wrestling for 2 years. In addition to wrestling, he likes to play football, and go camping and fishing. Hunter says he has his greatest wrestling moment every time he goes to practice! Congratulations Hunter! 

This Week...

This week we will have our regular practices. Tuesday from 5-6:30 pm and on Friday beginning at 3:30 pm (younger kids) and 4:30 pm for the older kids.

The coaches have decided to do "Tournament MVP's", instead of a "Wrestler of the Month".  This will give more kids the opportunity to win the award, plus be rewarded for working hard at BOTH practices and tournaments.

There aren't any little league tournaments scheduled for this weekend (that we know of) since it's the Junior High State tournament. So our next tournament will be Super State in Heber City on February 8th and 9th. If you are planning on going to Super State, please get registered as soon as possible. If you register by January 30th, your wrestlers name will be printed on the back of the shirts that they sell at the tournament. The official deadline for registration is MIDNIGHT on February 6th. The Team Takedown wrestlers were AMAZING at the Beehive Brawl! We had four wrestlers place; Kylan took 2nd place, Damon and Tezlin took 5th place, and Keegan took 6th.

Beehive Brawl Weigh Ins

Tomorrow are weigh in's for the Beehive Brawl from 3-7 pm in Richfield at the Events Center. The Brawl starts at 9 am on Saturday, but please have your wrestler there around 8 to warm up and find his mat.

**Please remember we will NOT be having our Friday practice this week, due to all the coaches going to the weigh ins for the Beehive Brawl. We will see everyone at practice on Tuesday at 5 pm.**

This Week

This coming week is the Beehive Brawl. If you haven't signed up yet, you don't have much time! The deadline is TOMORROW (January 21) at midnight. You sign up on trackwrestling.com, and you must have a USA card. If you haven't seen the flyer yet, click here.

Weigh in's for the Brawl are Friday, January 25th, from 3:00-7:00 pm (in Richfield). Due to the weigh in's, we WILL NOT be having Friday practice. We will still have practice on Tuesday from 5:00-6:30 pm.

This Week...

We will have practice as scheduled this week. Tuesday from 5-6:30 and on Friday at 3:30 for the younger kids and 4:30 for the older kids.

There is a tournament in Juab on Saturday (January 19th). You can see the even flyer here.  The middle school age kids will start at 9 am and must have a USA card to participate. Pre-K thru 4th grade will begin at 1 pm, and do not require a USA card. We will have weigh-ins after practice on Friday.

You can sign up for the Juab tournament on Track Wrestling.

This Week

We will be having practices as scheduled this week. Tuesday from 5 to 6:30, and then on Friday with the little kids beginning at 3:30, and the older kids at 4:30.

There are a couple of tournaments coming up, and you need to get registered if you are planning on going. The first is the Beehive Brawl. This is a big tournament in Richfield on January 26th, with wrestlers from all over the country participating. Weigh in's will be in Richfield on Friday, January 25th. They are capping this tournament at 1500 wrestlers, so please register as early as possible. Click here for more information.

Super State is on February 8th at 9th in Heber. You can click here for the event flyer. This is a Utah only tournament.

You will need to register for both tournaments on Track Wrestling. Please don't wait until the last minute to register. They put a cap these tournaments, and they also have strict deadlines for registration. Both tournaments require a USA card to participate. If you still haven't purchased a USA card, you can do that here.

Les Gutches Clinic

Don't forget that tonight is the clinic offered by Les Gutches. It starts at 5:00 pm and will end around 8:30 pm. Click here for the camp flyer.

Also, don't forget that we are having practice tomorrow, but only for the older kids. It will begin at 4:30 pm.
