Christmas Break

Due to both Christmas and New Year's landing on Wednesdays, we won't be having practice again until Wednesday, January 8, 2014. However, we will be traveling to the Salt Lake Slam on January 2-4. If you are interested in going, please sign up on track wrestling. There are official site weigh in's, so we won't be doing weigh in's from the gym. You'll be responsible to get your wrestler weighed in at one of the approved weigh in sites. The approved sites will be listed on trackwrestling.com.

Christmas party and Provo Classic Slideshow

As promised, here's the slideshow for the Christmas Party and the Provo Classic Tournament. We only had two wrestlers go to the tournament, Tezlin and Keegan. Keegan won all his matches and came home with 1st place! Tezlin lost his first match, and won the rest so he ended up with 3rd. Both boys did great!

This Week

We will be having practice as scheduled this week. Our next tournament will be the Salt Lake Slam, on January 3rd and 4th. I will post more information on that tournament, and also a slideshow from the Christmas Party hopefully tomorrow.

Reminder...

This is just a reminder that our Christmas Party is TONIGHT at the gym! Please drop your wrestler off at 5 pm. and pick him up around 7 pm.

If you are planning on attending the Provo Classic this weekend, you need to be signed up TODAY! Weights have to be entered by 9 pm tonight, so if you're going, please let one of the coaches know at the party and we will weigh your wrestler in.

State Rankings

Wrestle Utah has released the Utah State rankings and we are excited to announce that two of our wrestlers made the cut! Both Keegan and Tezlin have been ranked 4th in the state in their age/weight divisions. Congratulations Keegan and Tezlin!

UPDATE

We will NOT be having practice this Wednesday, December 11th, due to Elementary school
Christmas programs. We will still be having the Christmas party on Thursday.

ChRiStMaS pArTy!

We are having a Team Takedown Christmas Party! It will be at the gym on Thursday, December  12th! Please drop your wrestler off at 5 pm, and pick them up at 7 pm. We will play games and have pizza! (We are still having practice on Wednesday)

 

 

Next Week...

Next week, we will be having practice as scheduled (Wednesday at 4:30) Our next tournament will be the Provo Classic, on December 14th. If you are interested in going, you need to sign up on Track Wrestling by following this link. The flyer with more information is below. You do need a USA card for this tournament, so if you haven't gotten one, you can buy one here.  We will do tournament weigh ins at the gym on Wednesday after practice.

Please note that you have to be registered for the tournament by 9 pm on Thursday, December 13th.  Pre-K thru 3rd grade will begin at 8:00 am, 4th grade and up will start at noon.

This Week and Wrestling dues

This week we will have practice as scheduled (Wednesday at 4:30 pm). Also, please remember that your Team Takedown wrestling dues are due on the 4th.

I'm not aware of any tournaments this weekend, but will update this website if any come up.
